Behavioral Health Clinician II
At the J.D. McCarty Center we serve patients 0-21years of age in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient and school settings. The J.D. McCarty Center is looking for someone who is passionate about working with children, ready to learn and enjoys collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. The J.D. Salary ranging from: $60,000 to $70,000 per year plus PTO, Insurance, and Retirement benefits.

Responsibilities include:
- Provide psychological inpatient assessments for intellectual, academic, and adaptive functioning. Completes written psych reports and discharge summaries as required.
- Participates in admission meetings, interim team meetings and discharge meetings. Documents appropriate information.
- Participates in intake screenings making appropriate referrals and completing documentation used in determining the behavioral appropriateness of the patient for center services.
- Participates in behavior staffing and medical staffing.
- Attends department meetings and participates in committees as assigned.
- Conducts parent training.
- Develops and conducts in-service training.
- Provides behavioral support to patients attending Camp ClapHans.
Required Education/Experience:
Candidate will have obtained an MS, MA, or M.Ed. in Counseling, Clinical, or School Psychology (including Community, School, Clinical, or Applied Counseling Tracks). Candidate must have coursework in psychological testing to include minimally a graduate course in cognitive assessment (e.g., Wechsler, Stanford Binet) as well as other tests of behavioral adjustment (e.g., BASC), achievement (e.g., WIAT), and adaptive behavior (e.g., Vineland). Demonstrates ability in administering and interpreting psychological tests and writing psychological evaluations is preferred. Clinical supervision and training will be provided as necessary.
Experience in trauma-focused therapies, working with children and adolescents, as well as individuals with developmental disabilities desirable.

About J.D. McCarty Center:
At J.D. McCarty Center patients are admitted for a 30-day evaluation during which they are assigned a treatment team consisting of nursing unit, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nutritional services, social services, psychological services, behavioral analysis, and recreational therapy. Our 80-acre s campus includes a on-site elementary, intermediate, and high school which is staffed by Norman Public School teachers. Patients may continue treatment needs beyond the 30-days as an in-patient in habilitation status based upon progress or placement needs. We are a tobacco and vape free facility.
